Saving Money on Training
No one wants to pay more from something than they should and some of just can't afford to pay more! So, here are a few suggestions on how to cut your training costs or expenses:
1) Avoid expensive seminars. While these might be a good source of knowledge and skills, they can be very expensive. Not only do you have the cost of the seminar itself, but then you have travel costs, meals, time off from work and other expenses on top of it. Unless someone else is footing the bill, or if a seminar is required for some reason to accomplish a specific goal, I would look for other options first. If you have to attend a seminar, try and find someone else to go with you so you can split the travel expenses. This will save you $$$$$
2) Colleges sometimes offer courses on Customer Service and other business topics. check out the smaller Community College first as their costs are likely to be less. Look for classes that give you some kind of certificate or diploma if you are investing substantial resources in these courses.
3) Books and videos are a great way to get the skills and knowledge you need. Check out buying them on-line from amazon. Many times Amazon offers free shipping on many products which can save you a lot of time and money.
4) Though this is really obvious, check ut CSTI's catalog of manuals and courses. They are priced extremely competitively and within the reach of anyone. Plus, most of them are available through instant downloads which means you get your materials within minutes and you pay no shipping costs.
5) Plan your training program in advance so YOU control when you purchase training materials. this way you can take advantage of sales, special offers, and don't have to worry about a title being out of stock when you need it! (With CSTI that is not a worry! Instant downloads NEVER go out of stock!)
Always keep in mind that good training does not have to carry a huge or expensive price tag. High cost does not guarantee high quality. CSTI materials, and a lot of the other products in our store are reasonably priced yet are of extremely high quality. With a little research, you can get the skills you need without breaking the bank or taking out a second mortgage!
